The role of REC's Poland office

The Poland Office of REC has accompanied the formation of the Coalition for Wetland Protection from its creation, assisting in the exchange of information between all interested parties. Since the establishment of the Coalition until the end of May 2000, REC assisted the flow of information within the Coalition, helped in organising meetings and served a main role of being the "contact point" for the organisation.

The Poland Office of REC, located in Warsaw, opened in 1992. It attempts to adjust what REC has to offer to the needs and current situation in our country. Moreover, REC initates programs co-ordinated through the main REC office, as well as developing important country programs. The goal of REC's activies is to support co-operation between various groups interested in environmental protection.
